I assume the McCain campaign will call this an attack on McCain's age.
  • zachd · 1 year ago
Kiev, Why shouldn't he be attacked for his age?
  • MacPal · 1 year ago
It's called discrimination! We should not dicriminate due to age, race, religion or ethnic background no matter what party you belong to.
  • drj · 1 year ago
    great!
After McCain loses the Presidential race, maybe he can go back to flying fighters for the Navy.
    I mean, he could right??Because, you know.....age doesn't matter.

Seriously, there is an aspect of McCain's age that nobody has talked about.
What do you think the chances are that he'd run for reelection in 2012 at the age of 76, assuming his melanoma, the most unpredictable form of cancer known to medicine, doesn't come back.
Personally, I think it's about a zero probability.
Having a radical right wing president, who doesn't worry about his re election chances, and a Veepette that the 'Publicans will drop like an, er......faded beauty queen if the Christian right gets them in, well......
I don't like that combination. The need to get re elected moderates all Presidents, but it won't affect McCain.

    MacPal-
Let me clarify what I meant when I said "Why shouldn't he be attacked for his age?"
I really meant that his age is a negative factor that everyone should consider when they go to vote. Just like you should consider whether each candidate is qualified for office, you should also consider the likelihood of the candidates having health issues that would affect their time in office. It's not that McCain will most likely die in office, but let's be honest - he could easily have debilitating health issues in the next 4 years.

I didn't mean to advocate age discrimination, just age consideration.

much much better than "I hope you read my plan."

maybe Obama can build on it by introducing Plouffe and Axelrod at some big events and town halls, and then asking McCain to do the same: show us your time! You've shown us Sarah Barracuda, your energy expert. Show us your campaign team.

    from Politico/J. Martin

UAW political types will be pleased:

A number of workers wore Obama t-shirts or pins and some attempted to line up so they would be in the camera shot of McCain. They did not appear to be successful. McCain got a polite reception from the workers, who applauded his lines about the American worker. When he finished speaking and was
leaving, some of the Obama supporters began to chant, “O-bama—Oh-eight’’ It was not an overwhelming demonstration by any means, but certainly easy to hear in the cavernous assembly plant.

Oh this is good stuff. Keep hammering BO. They need to cut the legs out from under "John the Regulator" before too many people start to believe his new "mor regulation is needed" mantra.

They need to move on to Marrying John McCain to Phil Gramm. Everyone needs to know that the very guy that spearheaded this economic mess is the same guy whose economic philosophy of deregulation is the foundation of McCain's economic policy.

McCain cannot divorce himself from Gramm without throwing away his entire economic policy.
  • middlegirl · 1 year ago
Great! They need to have at least one, "oh, snap" moment per rally to get the press attention.

News from Gawker --- some groups have apparently hacked into Palin's Yahoo email account --- the same account she used to conduct business as Gov.

For 5 years John McCain couldn't hold a staff meeting. POW!!! POW!!!! POW!!!!
  • MC · 1 year ago
Nits after watching the video. He doesn't end "The old boys network" in a question. And he says "come on" with the same inflection:

"And now he tells us that he's the one who's gonna' to take on the old boys network. The old boys network. In the McCain campaign that's called a staff meeting. Come on."

Yoru transcription makes it sounds like a stand up act. Obama sounded more serious than that.

    zachd, I actually agree.

I don't think Obama nor Biden should address his age, but Suragates should hammer that point.

Like Bill Mahr said, we have the oldest man to run for President with a history of cancer 4 times, a swollen left gland and his running mate is an idiot.

I think Obama surrogates need to get a hell of a lot more aggressive and tough. I see McCain's idiots constantly slinging lies about taxes and 'most liberal senator in congress" along with the personal insults and most of it goes unquestioned by MSM.

Last time McCain was involved in the markets was Keating 5, he's older then dirt, flips and panders to which ever crowd he's talking to. Those should be Surrogates talking points. I think one of Obama's best surrogates is Weasly Clark and John Kerry, they shouldn't be restrained and should stop using "He's a good man, personal friend" before every attack.
  • SpaceCat · 1 year ago
These comments by Obama prove the sexism that his campaign has resorted to. He should apologize to Gov. Palin immediately.
  • dkawaii · 1 year ago
That's right! Gov. Palin is not, by any means, an old boy. Nor is Gov. Rudy Giuliani when in drag.

McCain ‘ole boy’s network’ a staff meeting!

McCain has intimate personal experience with greed and mismanagement!

Remember the Savings and Loan scandal? Greed and mismanagement and McCain one of the original Keating Five!

He talks about fixing corruption! What a freaking hypocrit! Both he and Palin – corrupt liars!

A huge cause for where we are today!

No thanks McCain; we're not taking your Bridge to Nowhere! Take Palin and your 83 Wall Street Lobbyists working on your campaign and jump off the bridge!

    Shame on McCain

Obama is so in synch with the old boy network it is ridiculous. Isn't that how he got to be in the position he is in, he is under the "control" of the old boys network. He would never have beaten HIllary without that.

McCain however, can truly say his is beholden to no man - the lib-dems loved McCain when he was fighting against Bush these last 8 years, but now all of a sudden he's part of the old boy network? come on you loyalist - find someone else to idolize on a Saturday night.

Pizza, you are a pretty shitty troll.

This video is pure ownage and GOP sycophants like you are shitting themselves. It's over for you.
  • Ashok · 1 year ago
I agree with Pizza, there are some fishy items about Obama - why on earth would he pick Biden to be a VP? There is something very fishy when he picks that old guy. Weird if you ask me. But none of us will ever know what goes on in the back room of these political rooms.
  • pizzathehut · 1 year ago
Karl Rovelution - I'm a pretty shitty troll? What are you 15? I"m over 62 and I am so tired of the Obama people telling us McCain's old - that he's gonna die - that he's out of touch. What's wrong with old people? Are we worthless old trolls? I guess the same about women - I am amazed at how evil you have all been to her. Sad for you young porn watchers.

WAKE UP, AMERICA! Our government is failing! Every level our of political system is rife with corruption, greed, and deceit. We are are fed up with it! The evidence is clear: Republican President George W. Bush has one of the lowest executive approval ratings in history while the Democratic Congress’ national approval rating is even lower. The Supreme Court, a tool of whatever party controls the Executive Branch, matters so little to Americans that most don’t care to even have an opinion. The Democratic and Republican parties are responsible for the failures of our government, and we must hold them accountable!

WAKE UP, AMERICA! Our two party system has failed us time and time again! It has been corrupted by special interest groups that, by their very nature, are dividing the American people along partisan lines. Issues such as abortion, the death penalty, and stem cell research have nothing do with with effectively governing the most powerful nation on Earth. Yet these talking points are now the most dominant force in American politics due to the binary ways in which the parties represent these non-governmental issues. The political strategists in the parties understand that a debate on ethics is an exercise in futility. They also know that it is the most effective way to divide us into two camps.

WAKE UP, AMERICA! Just because a politician claims to be for or against your particular stance on an ethical issue does not mean that he or she has the ability, or desire, to resolve the real problems that plague our nation! Look at how useless Congress becomes when we elect officials based on our emotions rather than our intelligence! We should all be able to agree that the most important issues are the ones that affect our everyday lives, such as the economic, food, and energy crises. Can’t we agree to put aside our petty differences to make sure the most imperative issues are dealt with first? Dire consequences are on the horizon if we continue to ignore the larger issues and remain content with the empty promises made by our leaders.

WAKE UP, AMERICA! Neither Senator Obama nor Senator McCain have our interests at heart. Their negative campaigns and political dogfighting reveal that they hold the interests of their parties higher than ours! Neither candidate has offered us a detailed plan for repairing the collapsing economy, curbing the tensions leading us into a new Cold War, or resolving the energy crisis brought on our reliance on fossil fuels. Frighteningly, we as a whole aren’t demanding such plans.

WAKE UP, AMERICA! We must demand that Senators Obama and McCain present real solutions to the crises that face our great nation. At this critical juncture in American history we should not be voting for a representative of a political party, but rather we should be voting for a plan of action. We must be willing to ignore party lines and vote for whichever candidate offers the best plan. We must hold whomever wins this election responsible for executing the plan we vote for, and accountable should he fail to do so. MOST IMPORTANTLY WE MUST MAKE IT CLEAR THAT WE WILL NEVER AGAIN ALLOW AN ADMINISTRATION THAT FAILS US TO REMAIN IN OFFICE.

After a lengthy investigation, the Senate Ethics Committee determined in 1991 that Alan Cranston, Dennis DeConcini, and Donald Riegle had substantially and improperly interfered with the FHLBB in its investigation of Lincoln Savings. Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".

All of those people were demorats that got busted. If your going to try an end around like Obama does you best get your facts straight changeplease. I can tell you this...cnn keeps blowing smoke up everybodys A** about all these battleground states. You all need to start looking at all the new registered voters.
The republicans are now ahead in 6 of the 7 states by a 2 to 1 margin. Why else would OB's people be doing voter drives in black neighborhoods. Its real easy to find out the stats...all you have to do is fill out a FOI form and turn it in. Cnn what a joke. most of the reporters on that news station have been fired for reporting bogus stories are making up stories to boost their ratings...whats that old saying...if walks like a duck and talks like a duck , then it must be cnn...lmao
  • Wolfee · 1 year ago
Have you noticed how OB is always talking about McCain and the Old boy network. Then what does he do...he picks one of the worst ones of the bunch to be his VP...I mean come on this man couldn't fight his way out of a wet sack with a bottle opener. I know now why Biden keeps saying leave the familys out of it. Id the stories are true his brother and son will be doing some serious time in a federal prison. By the way has anybody noticed that teh justice department has now started an investigation into ACORN...wasn't that the organization that Oslobber was working for back in the late 80's ...whats up with that
  • wolfee · 1 year ago
Have you noticed how that crackhead Oslobber has been putting up the flag now that they got busted on that incident in Colorado...my god what a damn pouser. roflmao

Tell your friends, and show them the proof.

Adolf Hitler was well-known to have used hypnosis on crowds to gain power in Germany. (Just Google it if you doubt it.) So why cant this happen in America? It is happening.

Now, this document, An Examination of Obama's Use of Hidden Hypnosis Techniques in His Speeches is really spreading. Many people, including young people, are starting to wake up.

Young people have come up with a saying, "Don't drink the kool-aid Obama is pushing on you."

Obama has no accomplishments, we don't know him, he wrote a memoir, he has racist connections, he is using hypnosis, and he thinks he's the Messiah and that he should be in control of the world. We've seen this story before in Germany in the 1930's, haven't we? We know what happened there.

Obama's use of hypnosis in speeches is why:
    -nothing sticks to him
    -the huge crowds
    -the huge money contributions
-the mesmerized effect, especially in young people, who, because of their imaginations are more susceptible to hypnosis (read the document)
-the exorbitant election fraud, rule-breaking and bias in the media
-he gets away with changing every position
-people are calling him the "greatest leader of a generation" with no accomplishments

You have to read this document to understand how his hypnosis works. Logically and rationally, why not get to know this guy a little more before handing the world over to him? Why not wait?

An Examination of Obama's use of Hidden Hypnosis Techniques in His Speeches can be found at
    http://www.scribd.com/doc/7470439/Obamas-Use-of...

    PS - "Dont drink Obama's Kool-Aid"
