gramm: hey ron, how is texas? btw can you stop your revolution and tell your followers to vote for mccain? hey don't worry about your credibility, if we win you get a cabinet post in our administration.
so ron what do you say??
paul: god lindsey i thought you were a jackass on tv only, but you are a jackass on the phone also, and tell mccain to stepdown and i'll take over the nomination!!

Did she cut the interview short or was there more before that part and time was just up? (I didn't see it.)
also question to ponder:
do you have to answer to a subpoena??

LOL This one truly tops them all. Ron Paul just smacked the hell outta McShame w/o raising a hand.
...and David, IF they were fortunate enough to get Ron Paul to step up and take their nomination the republican's would get the youth movement....but then, WHERE oh WHERE would the old folks go?
McCain's going to Tyler Durden himself over trying to appeal to the base while trying to bridge a gap to independents, and while trying to deregulate the economy while saying he's a regulator. And while saying he's for the workers, women and vets while voting against the minimum wage, equal pay, and vet programs. His psyche will split.
On a happier note, tomorrow is national talk like a pirate day: http://tinyurl.com/6rdogr
Rep. Wayne Gilchrest, a maverick Republican from Maryland, endorsed Illinois Democratic Sen. Barack Obama for president in an interview Wednesday with WYPR, Baltimore's National Public Radio station.
Gilchrest, who lost a primary campaign and is retiring from Congress, has already endorsed the Democrat running for his seat, Frank Kratovil. Justifying his endorsement of Obama, Gilchrest said that "we can't use four more years of the same kind of policy that's somewhat haphazard, which leads to recklessness."
Obama and his running mate, Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.), "have the breadth of experience. I think they're prudent. They're knowledgable."

His response to McCain's call to "fire" the SEC Comm. is perfect.

Palin supports $600 million 'other' bridge project

I don't see this mentioned yet, but today in Cedar Rapids Palin actually promised to bring transparency legislation about government spending to Congress. Problem is, Obama already pushed that law through two years ago:

[McCain] said that he is calling for the firing of the Security and Exchange Commissioner. Well I think that is all fine and good, but here is what I say: In 47 days, you can fire the whole Trickle-Down, On-Your-Own, Look-the-Other-Way crowd in Washington who has led us down this disastrous path. Don’t just get rid of one guy, get rid of this administration, get rid of this philosophy, get rid of the do-nothing approach to problems and put someone in there who
is going to fight for you.
So did McCain really forget where Spain is located and thought it was in Latin America? The guy is losing his marbles, but it is nice that using his logic we dont ever have to worry about this sort of thing happening to the Dem ticket since Biden has soo much experience dealing with them, i mean Delaware shares a Latitude line with spain and is literally right across the ocean from them;)
Keep up the great work Jed, and lets put this old guy to bed on Nov 4

A Conservative for Obama
My party has slipped its moorings. It’s time for a true pragmatist to lead the country.
Leading Off By Wick Allison, Editor In Chief
THE MORE I LISTEN TO AND READ ABOUT “the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate,” the more I like him. Barack Obama strikes a chord with me like no political figure since Ronald Reagan. To explain why, I need to explain why I am a conservative and what it means to me.

It makes sense for Phil Gram to approach Dr. Paul. Gram was the senior statesman from the texas delegation for years while he was senator. He probably has the best working relationship with Paul out of all the McCain surrogates. The fact Paul not only turned him down but went on television to disclose the incident demonstrates how alienated Dr. Paul is with the party nominee.
But I'm sure glad he asked to get this emphatic unequivocal N O.

Now they're planning the crime of the century
Well what will it be?
Read all about their schemes & adventuring
It's well worth the fee
So roll up and see
How they rape the universe
How they've gone from bad to worse
Who are these men* of lust, greed, & glory?
Rip off the masks & let's see
But that's not right, oh no, what's the story?
There's you & there's me
That can't be right
