Aboriginal refers to any original native of an area. Eskimo is a tribe, and may not be specifically aboriginal to that particular area, which is why the word aboriginal is correct and best suited for the statement.

Are you speaking of the Civil Rights Act of 1875? Which was proposed by Republican Senator Charles Sumner and Republican Congressman Benjamin F. Butler in 1870 being passed by congress in 1875, signed by President Grant a Republican on March 1, 1875. The act guaranteed regardless of race, color or previous condition of servitude the same treatment in public accomodations. Once again Democrats carried the torches, crosses, water hoses and put up the signs denying the rights this act guaranteed.

After a mediocre (at best) acceptance speech I still don't know who she is. She wasn't properly vetted and when the dirt on her hit the press everyone wanted to blame Obama and his supporters. And talking about keeping kids out of politics...Conservatives should practice what they preach! This woman has become more popular in less than a week than Obama and McCain. What does that say about the American People?...wow...People are raving about how much they love her, her kids, even her parents who, as far as I know...have only been shown once...in the audience at the RNC...What is going on?

Actually, the hooded menaces of the old south and also those who stood in the doorways of schools blocking entrance to black children were in fact Democrats, George Wallace Governor of Alabama, to name one. Those who stood in the way of the civil rights movement were, Southern Democrats, the same Southern Democrats who opposed the emancipation of blacks by Abraham Lincoln, A Republican. Is that too much information for this site? You may want to fact check whose "base" carried the crosses and lashed the whips.

Is it ironic or just justice, that McCain wants to keep Sarah Palin away from the Press, but Sarah Palin is a Celebrity now and just like Paris Hilton and Britney Spears will be pursued by the Press and paparazzi! As you can see, Sentaor McCain, what goes around, Comes Around --God's Hand of Judgment is Swift! As you know McCain/Palin, Jesus was a Community Organizer and Pilate was a Governor (Hah!) so was George Bush, so much for Executive Experience...

Yes, Barack worked as a community organizer, but he also worked as a civil rights lawyer, taught constitutional law, 8 years as a Legislator in the state legislature, and 4 years in the US Senate, where he is currently a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee with Joe Biden (an almost carbon copy resume to the great, Abraham Lincoln, America's Greatest President)!

Barack Obama is more than qualified to lead and bring true and positive change to this nation. Barack Obama is an intellectual genuis who is committed to looking forward. He wants to talk about the Future, not about the Past, unlike McCain who is stuck in reverse and continues to focus on his horrible treatment as a POW when he was a very young man. However, he is much older now -- that was a long time ago. McCain voted for authorization of the Iraq War, McCain wants to stay chained to the past, to foreign oil - drill, drill, drill, oil which pollutes the environment and refuses to seriously look at cleaner alternative energies. And, McCain certainly does not want to talk about the fact that Maverick McCain is code for the fact that McCain loves to gamble, loves the gaming tables and that is really who McCain is today!

By the way,it seems that our Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, who could be a heartbeat away from the Presidency seems, to have switched colleges at least six times in six years, including two stints at the University of Idaho before graduating from there in 1987.

I believe that she is using the term "aboriginal" in the sense of a "native people", not specifically the aborigines of Australia

But beyond that, I hope that Obama's campaign responds to these issues as well as to all the bounty that McCain is supposedly going to deliver to us.

So now Palin is off-limits by the campaign, no interviews, "No Questions:Palin won't talk to press" at Huff Po. WTF? By disallowing any interviews, the campaign just undermines their whole schtick that she's "ready on day one". Not to mention, it's sexist too--the female VP candidate can't handle the heat but keep her in the kitchen anyway.
