There is NO way in hell I'd get up before an audience of Millions in a You-Tube society and echo the same old rhetoric the republiKLANS have been known for for eons. But she played their song well. "Same old song...Just a different tune" Their "base" liked it! But then again, their BASE had this thing about white robes, hoods and crosses that I never quite understood.

Actually, the hooded menaces of the old south and also those who stood in the doorways of schools blocking entrance to black children were in fact Democrats, George Wallace Governor of Alabama, to name one. Those who stood in the way of the civil rights movement were, Southern Democrats, the same Southern Democrats who opposed the emancipation of blacks by Abraham Lincoln, A Republican. Is that too much information for this site? You may want to fact check whose "base" carried the crosses and lashed the whips.

These lies from Palin should be making headlines. To make such obviously false claims in your first three speeches in the national spotlight, you deserve to become known as someone who has a problem telling the truth.
Also, Feyerick said "aboriginal issues." Clearly she meant "eskimo issues." Do they not have editors and producers at CNN?
Finally, the story of the day is what TPM borke on the image behind McCain last night. It was Walter Reed middle school in CA, not the actual medical center in DC. McCain gave the first few minutes of the most important speech of his life in front of a giant picture of a random middle school because of his staff's incompetence.

I believe that she is using the term "aboriginal" in the sense of a "native people", not specifically the aborigines of Australia
But beyond that, I hope that Obama's campaign responds to these issues as well as to all the bounty that McCain is supposedly going to deliver to us.

Aboriginal refers to any original native of an area. Eskimo is a tribe, and may not be specifically aboriginal to that particular area, which is why the word aboriginal is correct and best suited for the statement.

what's sad is that they're using that lawyer tactic:
when asking a witness, ask two things at the same time (one is true while the other is not) because it raises doubts in the juries' mind about the witness' credibility. it always works. that's why when republicans speak, they intertwine the truth and the lies.

Is anyone watching the news. Sarah Palin is reciting the same speech. She is just reading from the same template. My gosh, I can't wait to see her on the campaign trail without reading a speech and answer to the American people! I was surprised she insulted Community Organizers again! What is wrong with these people. They look so awkward together!!!!! Again we are hearing the POW story. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! This is torchure!!!!!!

OMG, McCain is actually better than Palin! He is talking more naturally and not looking down at her speech. Where was this guy last night. Too late. He is still bad. It is so funny. He quoted Sarah Palin "We don't need a bridge to no where we will build it ourselves". McCain, I believe you. You will build an economic, and foriegn policy bridge to nowhere. That is also where you campaign is going - nowhere!!!

By disallowing any interviews, the campaign just undermines their whole schtick that she's "ready on day one". He wants to talk about the Future, not about the Past, unlike McCain who is stuck in reverse and continues to focus on his horrible treatment as a POW when he was a very young man. However, he is much older now -- that was a long time ago. McCain voted for authorization of the Iraq War, McCain wants to stay chained to the past, to foreign oil - drill, drill, drill, oil which pollutes the environment and refuses to seriously look at cleaner alternative energies. And, McCain certainly does not want to talk about the fact that Maverick McCain is code for the fact that McCain loves to gamble, loves the gaming tables and that is really who McCain is today!

After a mediocre (at best) acceptance speech I still don't know who she is. She wasn't properly vetted and when the dirt on her hit the press everyone wanted to blame Obama and his supporters. And talking about keeping kids out of politics...Conservatives should practice what they preach! This woman has become more popular in less than a week than Obama and McCain. What does that say about the American People?...wow...People are raving about how much they love her, her kids, even her parents who, as far as I know...have only been shown once...in the audience at the RNC...What is going on?

Butler in 1870 being passed by congress in 1875, signed by President Grant a Republican on March 1, 1875. The act guaranteed regardless of race, color or previous condition of servitude the same treatment in public accomodations. Once again Democrats carried the torches, crosses, water hoses and put up the signs denying the rights this act guaranteed.
